相對位置︰Warsaw straddles the Vistula River. It is located in the heartland of the Masovian Plain, and its average altitude is 100 metres (330 ft) above sea level, although there are some hills (mostly artificial) located within the confines of the city.
特色
名字由來︰充滿陽剛味的華沙卻有一個非常浪漫的市徽─「美人魚」，傳說曾有一位名為Wars的漁夫在華沙維斯瓦河邊捕到一條美人魚，由於美人魚非常迷人，漁夫就把她帶回家，經過一段時間後，漁夫答應美人魚的請求讓她重歸水世界。沒想到之後維斯瓦河兩岸越來越多人至此定居，逐漸形成一個繁榮的區域，漁夫Wars也娶了名為Zawa的美麗太太，兩夫妻的名字合起來就是波蘭文的華沙Warszawa。
